We collect only what is required to deliver, prove delivery and comply with the law.
No information is ever sold, rented or used for advertising.
A driver's location is tracked only during working hours, never outside them.
Encrypted connections, role-based access and access logging.

This policy applies to the personal information we handle:
Under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, the person with the highest authority in the company acts as the person in charge of the protection of personal information.

He ensures this policy is followed, answers access and correction requests, handles complaints and keeps the register of confidentiality incidents.
| Who | Information |
|---|---|
| Patients and recipients | Name, delivery address, phone number, delivery instructions, amount to collect if any, proof of delivery (signature, photo of the package left, name of the person receiving it), and the date, time and place of handover. We have no access to medical records or to the content of the prescription beyond what appears on the sealed package. |
| Drivers | Identity and contact details, address, employee number, compliance documents (driver's licence, vehicle insurance, expiry dates), information needed for pay and tax slips, optional profile photo, hours on duty, location while on duty, deliveries made, reported incidents, and messages exchanged with dispatch. |
| Client pharmacies | Names and contact details of contact persons, addresses, IDSWeb user accounts, and business billing and payment information. |
| Website visitors and applicants | Information provided in forms (name, email, phone, message, résumé) and technical browsing data (see "Cookies"). |
Sensitive identification numbers required by law (for example for tax slips) are stored encrypted and are never displayed in full.
We collect information only for these purposes, with your consent where required, and we do not use it for any other purpose without new consent, except where the law allows.
IDS Mobile is reserved for IDS Livraison Express drivers; an account provided by the company is required. Here is what the app uses on the phone, and why:
| Permission | Use |
|---|---|
| Location (including in the background) | Tracking the route and recording the place of each delivery only while the driver is on duty (clocked in or deliveries in progress), even when the screen is off or the app is in the background. Tracking stops at the end of the shift. A persistent notification shows when tracking is active. |
| Camera | Taking proof-of-delivery photos and photos of compliance documents, and scanning package codes. |
| Microphone | Voice messages and dictation in the app, only when the driver presses the button provided for that purpose. |
| Bluetooth | Reading temperature and humidity from the sensors placed in coolers. |
| Notifications | New deliveries, messages from dispatch, temperature alerts. |
| Photos | Attaching an existing photo (for example a document), only when the driver chooses to. |
| Biometrics | Unlocking the app with a fingerprint or face. Biometric data stays on the phone; we never have access to it. |
The app contains no advertising and no advertising trackers. All data it sends goes only to IDS Livraison Express servers, over an encrypted connection.
We never sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only:
If information is communicated outside Quebec, we first conduct a privacy impact assessment and make sure it will receive adequate protection, as the law requires.
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes it was collected for, or longer where the law requires:
At the end of these periods, the information is securely destroyed or anonymized.
No system is foolproof, which is why we also have an incident procedure (section 12).
At any time, you may:
Write to the person in charge (section 2). We respond within 30 days of receiving the request. We may ask you to prove your identity before acting on it. If your request concerns a delivery made for a pharmacy, we may forward it to that pharmacy, since it holds your file.
IDS Mobile accounts are created by IDS Livraison Express for its drivers. To request deletion of your account and its associated data:
Our website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work (language, form security). Audience measurement cookies, if any, are enabled only with your consent and can be refused without affecting your browsing. You can also delete them in your browser settings. IDSWeb uses only the session cookies needed for secure sign-in.
If a confidentiality incident occurs (unauthorized access, use or disclosure, or loss of information), we immediately take steps to reduce the risk. If the incident presents a risk of serious injury, we promptly notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the people concerned. All incidents are recorded in a register.
Our digital services (website, IDSWeb, IDS Mobile) are not intended for people under 18. When a delivery is for a minor, their information is provided by the pharmacy and handled according to its instructions, with the same protection.
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top of the page shows the current version. If there is a significant change, we will inform drivers and client pharmacies before it takes effect.
For any question or complaint about your personal information, first contact Jorge Mariz, person in charge of the protection of personal information, at idslivraisonexpress@gmail.com or 514-992-8670. We will handle your complaint promptly and reply in writing.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information: www.cai.gouv.qc.ca · 1-888-528-7741.
